Not looking good for snow cover and ice formation around here. Hopefully the wind blows it off..

It’s just fluffy stuff south of the metro. With single digits next week, it won’t do much to the ice. I fully expect 4 inches on some of my early ice destinations next weekend….be safe out there!

    what area? in the metro?

Know few guys this weekend that were finding anything from 2.5-5″ of ice in the greater metro area Crappie. Good thing is they say not much was biting, few dinks here and there.

A buddy shown me this app called Ice Reports this weekend. It looks like it can help out many people on this site with ice thickness.

I walked out on Tonka sunday morning. it took 3 good whacks with the spud bar before I broke through. id say there was 2-3″ where I was. problem is all this snow. I would be out there on that thickness but im concerned the snow will create soft spots

Fished west of Faribault yesterday with anywhere from 3-5″. Lots of small walleyes with a couple in the 14-16″ range. Fish were sluggish to hit but when they did I could feel it in my teeth!
