Found this little guy yesterday right next to a fenceline. It was on a part of a farm that deer rarely are seen on. It had been sitting on the ground for a year. I think the trail cam picture is of the same buck from last summer. He didn’t grow much if that is the case.

I think that about wraps up shed hunting for the year. Ended up with 11, a far cry from last year’s 28. Maybe I’ll stumble across some more during morel season.

The tines were buried about 3 inches into the ground. It was on a north-facing ridgetop that gets very windy. It could have been covered in leaves one day them exposed the next.

There aren’t many critters to chew on it where it was found either. If it would have been on any other part of the farm, there would have been nothing left of it.
