In Winter I review new baits to see if anything looks promising for the upcoming spring-early summer. Particularly for Pike and Tiger-Musky’s.
I was impressed by the 4-Play series, at 7.5″, 1 3/4 oz. made by Savage. They make them in 3 flavors: a lipless version for fishing close to the surface, a lipped bait that suspends or slowly sinks and another lipped version called a Low Rider that dives a little deeper than the other lipped bait, but slowly floats at rest. I’m told you can fish them as crankbaits (which I rarely use), or use them with a twitch pause technique. Anyone had experience with Savage’s line of 4-Play hardbaits
