I am thinking about putting a salt shield on my trailer, just the straight ones not v front. They are only about 25 inches tall. Is that high enough?

    Thanks

Yup, had one on my Floe 8 x 10 tilt trailer for over 15 years (was a matching Floe salt shield), was great, no issues. You will still get some splash on the sled covers above the shield no matter what, but the majority is kept off.

I have one on my Floe too. You will like it.

I recommend installing it with hinges like the ones below though.

    I mounted two hinges horizontally.

I found it to be a SOB to flip it down and back up again by myself. With the hinges its a one hand job and yet you can still remove it with no tools. If you have more questions feel free to PM me.

    Thanks Joe
When I get it and can look at it I am sure it will make more sense but I think I can visualize what you are recommending. Sounds like a very good modification .
    Thanks again
