Caught sightfishing on a #14 trout fly hook and a nibbly bit of wax worm from a platform 15′ off the water.

This isn’t even one of the big ones from this spring. Being swollen with eggs, the real fatties went back in the water. I have accumulated a couple dozen in 6-8″ range in the freezer for early season cut bait. The biggest one I saw caught was approaching 14″ last week.

It isn’t really fair Ryan. Joe (SG) lives by a spot where if you sit down by the bank they basically leap into your minnow bucket. I have personally witnesses it.

Nice looking chub Buzzer, thats big enough to eat. Is that a chub in Goats Picture, it looks like it is but not sure. I think Chubs down here are one of the prettiest fish that swims when the males are aglow and speckled with spawning colors. I’ll try to get a few pictures this spring.
