I’m not a Carp oficianado but in the captions it said that this was a Buffalo fish.

So correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe they are actually carp Are they

Buffalo are different than carp, although they are somewhat similar in appearance. Buffalo are native fish, though, while carp have been introduced to North America.

That fish is not a buffalo, but a bighead carp. Most carp you see in MN are common carp. Common carp have been here since the late 1800s, while bigheads were introduce more recently. Bigheads are moving North, and I am sure we will start seeing them in MN before too long.

Silver carp are the jumpers, not bighead carp.
