If you all remember I was making plans to go to that really cool hidden away lake in Thailand but I was side-tracked with a good opportunity at a new lifelister right in my own neighborhood. After a slow morning on the Mekong River on friday, we checked out a new paypond where you can keep the fish. I was amazed to see one fisherman with a basketful of good sized different carp species. These were all new lifelisters for me so I had to take advantage of it. My new find in Thailand will just have to wait awhile longer.

The key bait was Ant Eggs which are sold in your local neighborhood street market. I got myself a pound of them eggs and prepared for the next morning. We used the European style which was the long pencil bobbers and very finesse tactics. I actually feel like a rookie fishing this way. I enjoyed the experience and learned a lot.

Anyway, we ended the day with 3 Silver Mud Carp. The bites were very light but the fights were acrobatic.

Notice the very small barbels above the lip.

    Some people have Life Lists…

…Ralph has Kiss Lists. Or are they Make-Out Lists?
