I’m going to be in the Mounds View area this week and was wondering if anyone would share a Carp spot via post or P.M.? I live in northern MN so I won’t be back anytime soon. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Right now Rice Creek has tons of carps/ buffalo in it. You can access it by The Mermaid off of County Highway 10 just east of I35W.
Caught a nice 40+lber not too long ago.
May 4, 2014 at 2:12 am #140823540+ pound carp is a monster! Get any pics of that beast? The Mississippi river (pool 2) is giving up some carp lately on corn or crawlers. I’d look for slower moving water or slack water on or near a mud flat.
May 8, 2014 at 3:34 pm #1409374That is a true giant for Rice Creek. I’ve only seen a couple in the last 15 years that barely broke the 20Lb. Mark. I’d love to see a photo as well!

40# carp or buffalo? I’d love to see a picture of a 40# carp landed by a fellow IDOer.
