in need of a new spot

Hi, this weeks weather doesnt look great for fishing , but there will be plenty of days this summer, im looking for some new spots to fish from shore in rochester, were i can consistenly catch fish besides little 3 inch sunfish, any help would be greatly appreciated, feel free to PM me too.

Any of the cascade lakes have some nice bass in them. Fished them from shore along the bike paths several times and i have had some pretty fun afternoons.

You don’t say how mobile you are, but the backwaters of the Mississippi offer a lot of shore fishing where some respectable fish can be caught. The cement pier and breakwater at Lake City have fishing from now until ice up in the late fall.

Around Rochester you have a few retention ponds that have better fish if you can access the water with a canoe. Lake Zumbro can reward you with pretty decent fishing from a boat or a canoe. Shores around the town’s waters get picked apart pretty bad leaving the small fish.
