Ice conditions???

    With all this rain and awful weather, I am wondering if the ice is even fishable?

    Did nothing but polish the ice here in central Iowa. Hwy 20 and North.

    Mississippi backwaters at Wabasha have 12″ of ice.

    After this cold front passes should be all frozen up tight.

    The rain we had wasn’t enough to hurt what ice we had. Actually it probably gave it some strength. With the snow knocked down from the rain, and temps sitting barely off the 0 mark at this hour new ice is being added. I wouldn’t hesitate heading out.

    thanks for the advise! havent had the time or the weather to get out yet this year! I MUST get on the ice this winter
