Mayowood lake???

looked up this lake online, heard the fshing isnt too bad, is it public access though??

All shoreline fishing. Don’t know about the fishing in the Lake it self, but the river below the dam has some great smallmouth fishing.

I have not been there for several years. When I was last there, it could be fished, but quite shallow as the dam has silted in and it is basically a wide spot in the river with some pockets. I would be surprised if it had been dredged, but there has been work on the ground of the Mayowood estate to restore gardens and pools on the grounds. Who knows… maybe since Mayo worked out the agreement with the historical society that someone with deep pockets will think they need to dredge it to return Mayowood back to it’s prior splendor!
