I was hoping there are a couple 681 owners out there that could give me some input on rigging and performance.
Question 1)Which mounting hole on the motor do you bolt to? I have a Merc 125 and I currently have it on the 2nd from the bottom hole.
Question 2)What prop pitch are you running? I currently have a 20 but was told to try a 22. Just seeing if anyone else had suggestions.
Question 3)Do you get a “roostertail” when running? I dont need it because it looks cool. All the bass boats throw one and my buddy’s 617 even throws one. I wasnt sure if it was a sign of optimum trimming/performance. Maybe a different prop would do it, maybe having a maxed out 135hp would do it, etc.
