The Last weekend in August my brother is having his bachelor party. Other then making sure a bunch of college guys survive to see the next weekend I was wondering if their is much of a night bite on this lake for walleyes? I have plenty of time to do some research on my own but have never been into northern Wi for a fishing trip.

is it comparable to Vermilion in MN ?

It is very clear and I am sure a evening / night bite will be your best be. Big big smallys in there also. Slip bobbers leeches / crawlers. Id cast and slip the big sunken island in the south west corner for starters. Its a fun lake!

It would be tough to compare Presque Island to Vermillion.

Big Pike pretty much summed it up. Really clear lake making it tough to fish walleye during day time. There is a bite just at dark into the evening. There are a couple reefs that hold fish. You can get into Van Vliet from Presque Isle. Van Vliet has a daytime bite.
