    Hopefully an easy one…

What options do I have to connect my 2018 Yamaha 9.9 4-stroke tiller to my 2018 Yamaha 300 4-stroke?
I’ve previously run the stainless tie-bar that quick connects/disconnects (previous boat) and that worked fine. Any better options?

Not looking for powered options…just not worth it to me for the $$$.

That is basically your option then.

a lot of folks just lock them in dead straight and do not allow them to steer at all. Then just point the nose of the boat in the intended direction with your bow mount on lowish setting to steer.

They have a hydraulic type connector on a lot of the new boats. I think they are about $600 installed if I remember correctly.

My previous ranger was connecting by a hydraulic cable. After about 9 years it seized up and didn’t function right. Because I was getting a new ranger in 2020 I didn’t want to put to much money back into it. I put an Atwood or panther kicker steering kit on. It cost about $30 or so. Worked fine
