About a year ago I started out from a semi blank on this particular stock ( I call it a semi blank because it started out somewhere in between a semi inlet and a blank ). The stock is for my Remington 722 in 222 Remington. It’s going to be my walkaround lightweight varmint rifle. For any of you that hasn’t shot a 222REM or 223REM for varmint’s I would high suggest it. It’s a nice flat shooting round with very low recoil and the ammo is pretty cheap.

Here is my latest picture. I have a few more coats of finish to apply, then I will break out my electric checkering tool and give it a nice point pattern. I know this is off topic, but if any of you would ever like to build a stock please PM me if you ever need tips or pointers on how to start out.

Custom Maple Stock for my 222 Remington.
