Prairie dogs?

    Anybody know where to shoot some prairie dogs reasonably? Looking at taking my dad out can rough it lodging wise just trying to find some place in South Dakota, Nebraska or Wyoming reasonable lol. Thanks

    I have shot them on public land SW of Murdo SD.

    Most ranchers are tough to just get permission from, especially near any cities. Some will if you offer to pay a trespass fee

    Try calling the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe dept of fish, game and parks. If I recall, they used to have a list of landowners that you could contact who allowed shooting. The landowners still may charge. This is on the reservation out there, so they’ll be able to get your questions answered as far as licenses too.

    Download onyx hunt and the Prarie dog layer and go at it . The further from any people or metro the better it will be.
