    Hi Everyone,

Last spring MN DNR staff from the Lake City and East Metro fisheries offices began a White Bass tagging project. Almost 2,400 White Bass were tagged with yellow tags just below the dorsal fin. Most of these fish (~1,850) were tagged below LD3 at Red Wing.

We are not planning on tagging any more White Bass this year, but we are still interested in getting tag return information from anglers. I will be posting flyers at the boat ramps near Red Wing soon, with information about reporting a tagged fish to the MN DNR. You can also report a tagged fish directly from this post by following this link: Report a Tagged Fish to the MN DNR

I have also attached a picture of the flyer, and the latest map of tag returns from the White Bass project. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Enjoy the open water, be safe, and catch some fish.

    Thanks,

    Nick
