Frontenac is a good 10″ BUT the point is not by the looks of it and the history of it.
Have not been on hoksila but seen a hub ways into the channel.
There is a massive heave that opened up river from there so beware.
In other words both are fishable with common sense. DM me how you do as I can share some of my info as well.February 1, 2021 at 6:47 am #2011012I have the same report for Frontenac as eyeguy. The folks I talkeded with said 10″ to 14″ until they were closer to where the channel runs, then they reported 4 to 6″.
The three groups I spoke to didn’t have much luck.
We were down to Pepin in a houseboat yesterday and found the ice didn’t start until just upstream of Point no Point. Normally it’s froze in Wacouta Bay. Strange year.

February 1, 2021 at 9:06 am #2011050Thanks. This weekend’s forecasted cold temps should help. Where is the 2nd pic?
February 13, 2021 at 10:57 pm #2014801Any catching going on? I’m guessing there is a lot of driving out there after all this cold. I’ll be heading that way next weekend. Hopefully the new Dinner Bells will prove effective.
February 14, 2021 at 10:16 am #2014850I ain’t been out in weeks. Let me know how it goes for ya. I might make another trip, if not it might be with the boat?
February 14, 2021 at 10:55 am #2014857Taking Friday off. Better morning or evening? I’ve only been over there once for a non-existant evening bite.
TOMPosts: 196February 21, 2021 at 4:11 pm #2016626Sounds like the bite has died down over there. I was there 4 weeks ago and didnt see all the fish movement that I had on the livescope the week before that.
