A week ago the crappie were running real well in Minnesota Slough. 8-14 feet deep in the sunken trees. Had several pushing 15 inches and a lot of bonus BIG Northerns. What a rush on 10 and 12 ft crappie poles. Biggest was close to 14 lbs. Best was up around the New Albin landing. Good luck.

hey Jimbo were you getting them on jigs or minnows?
I was at brown lake last week, the wind was a little
trying but managed to take home 14 nice Crappies & three
huge gills

Bait or not?/ what kind?
water temp?
deep or shallow?
The crappie I got all came on straight line, split shot (BIG) and a #2 Tru-Turn hook with the biggest walleye minnows I can find. I usually end up with just big fatheads. I like the line straight down and just hover over the trees and brush in 8-14 ft. of water. I hope they are still there when I get back up there the end of the month. Good luck.

Big B; I got some in the pads & a few really good ones off just one tree.
No minnows, Just clown jigs.
They were in 3 to 6 feet of water.
The afternoon water temp was 54 degrees and pretty clear.
My long rods ” 10, & 12 foot ” were the ticket to plucking, but not
disturbing or spooking them. Solar line sure did help as it was dark &
dreary with occasional light rain.
Sure wish the wife had’nt talked me into going to Reno this weekend as
I’d prefer being up on the River
