I live in Mankato, and only have a one man clam. It seams that all the lakes around here only have permanent houses. Is this a bad sign, and any advice to fish these lakes? I grew up around okaboji and spirit lake Iowa where it’s majority of houses are portables.
To me it tell me couple things, 1) they bring kids or spouse fishing. 2) they come out on ice to drink beer and watch TV and not worried about catching fish, and are kind of lazy.
I bet where you came from you don’t get a lot of good ice, or takes long time for freeze over and is gone sooner. Hope your getting out and catching fish there.
I use a one man shelter myself and my advice would be to take advantage of your mobility and keep moving till you find them.
