Fished the Royal Tournament Sunday and picked up 3 luck catfish to win the thing with something over 17 pounds. Second place was around 15 with a mixed limit of panfish: bluegill, crappie, and perch. Divide that out and their 60 averaged around .25 lbs each. If your looking for a meal you better like cleaning a lot of smallllllllllllllll ones.
The fire dept at Royal does host a great event so we’ll be back for the BBQ and Calcutta next year. Still a great day on the lake with the tournament even if the fish are small.
