I have the Mr Heater Buddy and want to change it over to a 5# cylinder. Do I need a hose with a regulator or just the one with the correct adapters?

You need either the hose with the regulator OR a hose with the filter attachment.

DTNovember 9, 2017 at 11:38 am #1726684get the standard hose and a $10 filter. You’ll be good to go. no need for a regulator.

From what Mr Heater has told me and what I have read you should use EITHER a regulator OR a filter. The reason they are there is to prevent liquid propane from reaching the unit.
And a 5lb is the same concept as a 10, 20 or 100lb. Just smaller.

November 10, 2017 at 9:04 am #1726900Yep, if you have a big buddy and a small buddy then that 12 ft the way to go with quick connect but what I got from mr heater last year as long as you dont have the quick connect and you have the right part f273704 designed for the buddy pay alittle more but dont have to buy the other parts for it cuts out the filter and regulator
