Does anyone know of a website that lists all dams on the MN. river? Using google maps or something would probably work, but a site just pointing them out would be even better.

I’m not 100% sure on this one. But I think that there might only be one Dam, thats in the Mankato area. there might be some spill ways.
But this river isnt dammed like the Miss and other big rivers.
There are alot of sites that talk about the MN river they might have easy info to access.
As far a Google, It shows good detail in populated areas. But when you get rural detial is lost.
Let me know what you find. I would be curious.
thanks

Larry,
I did some more digging at DNR site and found .pdf’s of the river online here.
Also can request this guide thru DNR information services and they will send out a printed copy. Check here.
The pdf files are sort of a pain because they do not show up altogether as one. But, it beats waiting for a map via snail mail.
Rapidan Dam is on the Blue Earth River in Mankato.
Upstream on the Minnesota from there I’m unfamiliar with.
Nice find Machinehead.
I see that there are many more Dams than I had thought.
I need to revise my thought process of Dams vs. spillways.
thanks for sharing
Larry
