Finally got the wifey on some Crappies

    After a few so-so outings with my wife Maureen I finally got her into some nice slab crappies on an East Central MN lake. Not bad for 3 hours work. If I hadn’t missed a half a dozen bites she wouldn’t have out-fished me either. But I’ll take getting out-fished by her anyday, heck I’m a winner just in the fact that she wants to go ice fishing on special days like her birthday and valentines day! And because perch are our favorite eaters I think she wants me to go spend a day on MilleLacs chasing perch this coming weekend too! Anything to make her happy!

    Around the area I fish, north of the twin cities and south of mille lacs, has had good lake travel most of the winter. Go further north of mille lacs and it gets ugly fast.
