Minnkota Terrova 55 w/ipilot question

    Anyone using this set-up on a light boat such as an MV jon?Was wondering on how well the spot lock worked on a boat with the qualities of a paper cup.No room for extra batteries,so 24v is out.

    I have heard mixed reviews on the ability to hold the bow in position in wind/current with a lighter boat.Hoping to replace my legacy powerdrive,which still works fine.

    Just want to hear some experiences,good or bad on smaller boats.

    I run a 50lb maxxum on my 16′ Jon and can hold in most summer time conditions but high water on most rivers it won’t cut it. In wind even with a big tm you are going to struggle. With very little draft and high sides it does not take much wind to become a problem.

    I have been looking to stepup to a 24v system but don’t want the extra battery.
