Guys. Last couple times out, I noticed the return signal on my Marcum VX-1p seemed to be erratic. At times it wouldn’t hardly pick up the signal from the jig. I’d then have to turn it up so high I’d get unwanted clutter etc.
Tried a new battery. That seemed to help a bit didn’t cure it.
Guessing it’s the transducer. Think that’s the right diagnosis? If so, I may try stopping by Marcum in Cities etc. to officially diagnose.
