Livescope transducer boat mount

I’ve been running my Livescope transducer on my trolling motor shaft for 3 years now. I’m finding its great in calm weather where spotlock is not needed but when it gets windy and trolling motor control is needed the livescope can’t be used effectively. So I’m looking into an independent rail mount. This would allow for spotlock and livescope use at the same time.
Looking for Pros and Cons? I know its one more thing to take in and out of the water and takes up space on the bow.
I like the one that Bret on Target Walleye uses but can’t seem to find who makes it. Anyone else have luck with a separate mount? I mostly fish bass and pan fish.
    Thx

Put this in the Garmin category. Lots of knowledge in those threads.

I had my livescope pole rail mounted. I ended up abandoning that approach as it would rotate on the rail regardless of how tight I cranked the mounting bolts. I ended up with two 6 inch track mounts instead. Now it’s very secure. I’m using the brew city pole.

if you have facebook join a few garmin groups. i did and found a wealth of information on this exact topic. I think some of the main garmin groups arent private which means you can likely search and review the content of the posts within that group without being a member

I just put in an order for the Traxstech. They will not be in stores until spring but mine should be shipping in 3-4 weeks. Much better then mid-may. Just have to call and put in an order and they will charge you when it ships.

I was at the NW Sportshow yesterday and talked to the Garmin reps. They recommended Brew City mounts. Reeds has a booth at the show too and those specific mounts in stock I believe for 20% off.

I’ll give a third vote for the Brew City mounts. They’re really awesome.

I ended up going with Tackle Shacks live pole mount…mounts to my Ultrex where the 360 mounts…works independently of the Ultrex…putting a Helmsmate telescopic handle extension on it. T
Will put pics up when the Helmsmate comes in.
