Late ice crappies

    On lakes with deeper green vegetation look along the weed edges and in the weeds. Cabbage and coontail are a good bet. Lakes with deeper sandgrass on the bottom can also produce.

    Don’t be afraid to go shallow I was catching them in as shallow as 5 ft last weekend

    And don’t be afraid to sight fish em in 5′. Here is a shot from a panfish tourney this weekend. Many crappies (and gills) were caught 1-3′ below the ice.

    This pic cracks me up. It looks like a bunch of hungover fisherman passed out on the ice, or a bunch of people looking for lost keys )
