They manipulated the court date/judge. Being near a metropolitan area. Other court cases had folks that shot at other people, facing lesser charges, than those facing the dove hunters. Fines were reduced to a slap on the wrist. Nothing you would learn a lesson from. Other than the system works for bad people.
