Ice conditions on Kabetogama?

Just curious on how thick the ice is on Kabe?

On Monday of this week people were still driving trucks out on Stewart lake which is pretty local to Two Harbors. I imagine that the ice on Kab is still pretty thick.

This won’t help for ice thickness on Kab. but it gives an idea whats happening.

Looks like quite a bit of snow melted since I looked at that web cam yesterday.

we go up there every year over memorial day weekend. last year the ice went out only a few weeks prior. Needless to say the water temp wasn’t too high which made fishing tough. Caught lots of Walleyes early morning and late in the evening. Couldn’t catch crap during the day. Not even a northern. Made for some long days

Prior years we were always able to cast shores and pick pu some nice smallies or norherns.
