Heading up to Kab the first week of October. We have never been to the lake or fished walleyes this late in the season. Does anybody have any tips or ideas that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

We’ll be up there also having not been fishing other than early season and some summer fishing from the 3rd to the 6th.
As always we will be looking for those mythical crappies and would love to get into some perch. But hey, anything on the end of the line works for us!
The mythical Crappies could be found in Sullivans Bay if a person believes.
Jig & a mythical minnow will work best for both species. Trolling will also get some Walleyes but with the weird weather you may need to search around a bit as far as depth goes. Speed has never mattered much for me up there.
Lost Bay
Blind Ash Bay
Pine Island
Wolf Island
just about all the west end islands.
No,3andadog was asking about the mythical Crappies. So, naturally you would use mythical minnows right?
Check with you resort owner on availability of bait.
We are camping on Camelback island. Might try and find a lodge for a night though
Call Ask-Ka-Nam Resort on the Ash River Trail. They have condo’s, cabins and even motel rooms. Ask Mark if he has minnows yet. He will know where the Crappies are going but good luck getting the info out of him.
