Always enjoyable getting the shore tackle box ready for fall/winter fishing. Try to keep things light being on foot.

Throw in some clown huskies and this box is set. Monticello smallies, northside eyes, and the school of crappies that come in every once in awhile all along the beautiful Mississippi. Let’s rock toast

The box looks good. Now that I have a better boat, I’m hoping to make the trek down to pool 2 this winter.

Wish I could get to pool 2 more often. All my fishing these days is between st.anthony falls and st.cloud, and at night.

I might be grabbing a jon this fall, maybe I’ll see ya down there.

Tossed a ringtail for a bit, nothing. Stuck my hand in the water, wow, still pretty warm. Thought to early in season, but tried to speed it up with a crank, only bite of night. Good start to season, been awhile since I wet a line so this was much needed.

As I was watching my breath this 45 degree morning….it got me thinking that my summer time/early morning/Fly Fishing/topwater/Bass season is drawing to a close. It’s time to dust off the spinning rods and the Pool 2 walleye box. Not sure if I’m ready for that or not.
