Maybe this is a dumb and simple question, but im far from talented with this stuff…

Installing new trolling motor batteries. What order do I disconnect/reconnect everything? Its a 24v setup. Thanks in advance.

Apologies…the guys below are correct. This enforces that I’m not good at posting online and carrying on a conversation at the same time. :-/

Must not matter much. I do opposite as Munchy. For initial connect. If using jumper,I hook +battery to -battery first. Then I always do positive next and negative last. Opposite for disconnect.

Which battery terminal do you take off first?
Always remove the negative cable first to avoid short circuiting the positive terminal. Once removed, disconnect the positive terminal using the same method and release the battery hold-down clamp with a wrench.

You are running an underrated circuit breaker for a 24v system.

Knowing nothing about this type of thing, please enlighten me. This is what the boat came with when I bought it 4 years ago.
