    Ready for some ice fishing…

    The Curado 50E’s are mounted on the ice rods.

    Older fly reel set up.

    Lookin good. But the only ice I want to see right now is in a cocktail.

    With it being over 100 for several days and the feels like temperature from 113 to 125 a dramatic cool down would be very welcome. A lake 25 miles north of me the water surface temp is 90 and one about 50 miles west of me is 92 and lastly one 25 miles southeast is 98. OK I’ll admit we are going through a cool spell for the next week finally 85-90 for highs but some +10 to +25 degree days would be really nice.

    Oh BTW the lake that is 98 has a coal fired generating plant on it. Stripers, whipers and shad do very good in it.

    I doubt we will have any fishable ice this year but we will see. If we don’t at least I will have many days in my boat.

    It was 57 in MN when I got off work this morning. Enjoy your heat.
