Last year I ran Stren Hi-Vis Gold, I really liked this line because I could detect the lightest bite by watching my line. Its time to re spool and I am wondering if there is anything out there that’s better…..

Power Pro in hi-vis yellow. Best braid I have used. Size, 2lb/10lb strength. Been using it 2 years. LOTS better than Fireline IMO. <*)}}}><
Cortland ice line.Have used the 2# test on pannies for years.Good stuff.Gonna try the 6 or 8 for eyes this year.
Can be hard to find.I’ve had to order it from Cortland in the past.
I like the p-line 1 or 2# for pan fish
3# for perch
4-5 # for walleye.
trilene micro ice 2 lb test gets my vote
i put 2 seasons on a spool of that stuff..I could put another, but I’m going to replace it this year just for confidence….
For tightlining really light jigs, 2 lb Hi Vis Gold Stren has been the best. Unfortunately Pure Fishing will not be making any, regardless of color, 2 lb Stren Original for 2008. What is on the shelf is the last of it.
For anything weighing 1/64th or heavier in panfish, then 5 lb Power Pro, with a 2 lb Vanish leader. Walleye get 8 and 10 lb Pwr Pro.
P-Line XXX Strong
The 2 pound is stronger than most other lines / stronge er than all I have found in 2 pound. Works for me ><>
Too many to list, but if I was to be stuck with only one choice over all for most fish catching ability under all cases… Dirty water, Gin clear, Salt, Fresh, with out a Flouro-carbon leader … Just plain old tie the hook to the line and catch fish … I’d have to say Trilene XL
I have have been pleased with P-Line’s Flouro-clear or ice in 3# for most panfish applications and 5# for eyes. If looking for a line to watch or detect bites in the hole, I’ve found that Stren Hi-vis gold does the trick. I know my dad usese the gold stren all year long because he can see it…
