Clinch. One of the very few knots I can tie with frozen fingers.

When I am using a jig and minnow or a jigging Rapala I prefer to use a loop knot this allows the presentation to sit horizontal in the water after jigging with out looking unnatural. Hope this helps you with more options for what knot to use with different presentations.

When using tungsten lures on the package they come in they recommend a loop knot for best action and it works well for me. But some lures in order to hold them in a horizontal position you need to use a tight knot to keep it in place so you need to be flexable. RH

Palomar for everything! Besides when tying floating fly line to a tapered tippet.

2 knots, 2 uses… rapala loop for my horizontal jigs and jiggn raps, helps keep them balanced nicely instead of adjusting constantly.

Everything else for ice… trilene knot. That usually covers it til musky season when the palomar knot is the only way to go

Uni knot and the Palomar. Uni knot to tie a clear leader onto my hi-vis lines and tying on quick clips. Palomar to tie jigs on direct. I feel the doubled line helps hold the jig horizontal or at a 45 degree andle depending on the jig.

Uni Knot and Palomar are great but when I am a big hurry, the plain old cinch Knot works great. I used the cinch for 45 years till I discovered there was more than one way to tie knots.
