Showdown Transducer question?

    Simple question. On the showdown 5.6 single beam. When yours is running does it sound like its making a snapping noise from the transducer?

    All sonar tranducers make that sound. I don’t have the showdown but on a recent trip a buddy did and it was noticeably louder.

    Lower the ducer a little bit in the hole, noise should go away.

    Yep, it clicks when on and out of the water.

    You may know this, but on an unrelated note since you are new to the showdown, adjust your sensitivity so that the lure reports as narrow a line as possible.

    I was fishing yesterday and every time I switched from a spoon with a higher profile to a jig I had to adjust it. Making the band as narrow as possible helps gauge fish size and helps keep separation from the bottom when fishing close to it.

    YEah been doing damn good on blue gills and Crappies!
