    Alvin,

Not sure if you made it down to the backwaters, but gills were biting good today. These were the largest of 20 caught, so 7″ was typical and largest was a bit over 8″. Wind was blowing strong. Caught these on a small white/silver jig and waxies.

Visited with the warden at the parking lot when we returned after dusk. He counted out our fish, went through our buckets and sled to see whether we were hiding any… Nice guy, but would any other “business” be sitting around at the end of the day to count one’s legal catch?

Nice fish. I bet they have caught a fisherman or 2 recently. I got a visit a week ago on the ice. Just asked for license. Did he destroy your stuff or just gently move it around?

Just dumped them all out onto the parking lot and proceeded to pick them up and count them. They weren’t damaged. I just am honest and always stay in the limit, so when presumed guilty and was policed, I felt like I had to comment.
