All the warning labels and safety features in the world can’t overcome dumb. I’ve been walking proof of that for over 40 years…case in point-there’s a gaurd on the little auger blade sharpener for a reason! Keep your finger INSIDE of it, dummy.
Yes, that’s my blood on the ice. My daughter’s exact quote at the time was, “Um, Daddy, are we going to need to quit and go to the hospital? ‘Cause, I don’t really want to quit, but we can if we have to.” 
We stayed. Daddy got it glued up later-a handwarmer makes a passable pressure bandage in a pinch. 
So, let’s be careful out there!
