Ice Conditions?

    Planning on making a day trip out towards Webster as soon as the ice is 3-4 inches Any updates on ice formation the last couple of days?

    Had a buddy check some conditions yesterday anything over a small pond still was dicey and he could not get more than 20 feet from shore. I think the strong winds we had for upwards of 4 days did not help ice development. – QB

    I stopped in Dakota Angler today after checking some ice myself. We had a report of about 4″ at Waubay this morning. I had 2 1/2″ at a pond right in Sioux Falls and about 4″-5″ around the Hartford SD area.

    Thank you for the updates. One other thing I have been wondering on is the road right away laws for accessing bodies of water within the right away? I’m having a difficult time finding solid information whether right away access is still allowed or has been eliminated this past summer for certain/all areas from private land owners and townships?
