It can be great if you catch the northern birds coming down (which is harder and harder in MN). But I’d still get your stuff ready and head out in the next couple days!
October 25, 2017 at 3:23 pm #1723125I have had many great hunts in the snow. Lakes starting to freeze up, dekes covered in ice, snow flying. What a cool time to hunt ducks!!! Some of my best hunts and I would bet my last dollar the northern birds will be heading down this weekend.
October 25, 2017 at 3:30 pm #1723128I absolutely love hunting in snow/sleet. You can bet your bottom dollar I took Friday off from work. Crappy weather is great weather for duck hunting. In my experience, this weekend is the first weekend of birds migrating in larger numbers through southern MN and I wouldn’t miss it for the anything. I live for these next few weeks of duck hunting. All other outdoor activities are just time killers in my mind.
