I’d like to put my docks & lifts in the water this weekend, but fear that breaking ice could jam and damage them. What’s the river sections look like? Are they debris free? Are the main lakes melting/breaking up?

Are the main lakes breaking up?

I’m west of you and the main lakes are not breaking up yet, at least not the deep ones. They are very close, the ice is black as can be. I would wait a bit yet tempting as it is. I’m about ready to put ice skates under the boat.

There were three boat trailers parked at the 71 access and 1 at the 22 access. The 22 access is very muddy but the water level is almost back into the river banks.
Talked to a couple guys from Litchfield fishing cats on Horseshoe, one had a 22 incher.
I think the water is still a bit to cold for the panfish to be shallow yet.
No rain here yet but it was snowing in Bismarck ND this morning.
