For those of us headed up to Mille Lacs area to get ready for opener weekend.

35 north bound at North Branch will go one lane next week for approx 2-3 weeks, then switch to south bound after completion.***

*** New signs were going up this weekend. I could not find exact details on the MNDOT website.

Also, the harbor/ramp at Liberty Beach is ice free if you want to back the boat in and start ‘er up. Dock is in.

Ah dang it! When I went through there recently, every single traffic light except that first one by Walmart was out. It was like a 2 lane 55 mph highway once you got past that choke point.

Southbound 35 goes to one lane on May 22. Just north of Harris (County 19) to North Branch.

They’re planing the road surface. Northbound is smooth now where that stretch was a real drag to drive on for the last few years. Pulling a trailer was miserable.

The inside lane southbound is done so the work will be on the outside lane.

Great! That stretch was like running a wash board in my one ton!
