Humminbird 858 problems

I’ve got an 858 combo unit on the bow and run it through the US2 on a Terrova 80. Over the years I have had problems with interference from the trolling motor and have instituted all the fixes recommended by Humminbird. Last two times out it got worse and now it seems to just lock up. There is no image scrolling across the screen and the sonar image is just white background. All the border images and displays are there, just no depth reading or sonar. Anybody have similar issues and can recommend a fix?

As I write this I begin to wonder, is this a locator issue or a US2 issue on the trolling motor. If that’s the case, can the transducer be replaced in a trolling motor?

Sounds like a us2 connection. Are both the silver us2 ends threaded in tight? There is one right be the locator where the adaptor threads on but there is also one under the head of the trolling motor. I have seen the one under the head come loose more than one time.
