I guided for LM bass a couple days this week on the Chip, fishing was ok, but there wasn’t much size to them, about 2 1/2 pounds was the biggest, we were getting them in thick weeds with spinnerbaits, swim jigs, and buzz baits were the best baits.

Trolled for walleye one morning on LCO, got a couple of walleye from 16-21 inches trolling Reef Runner Ripsticks on flats from 10-15 feet of water, with about 30 feet of line out on the Reef Runners, which makes them run down about 3 feet.

Musky fishing has been a bit tough, some fish are being caught, but its tough now. the best bite is in the evening, cowgirls, topwaters, suicks, slammers, and River 2 sea Kong are all working the best now, all of the fish are coming off of weeds. It is a tough bite, but you can still get some action, you just have to work at it.

    Good Luck,
    Tanner Wildes
