Happy Veterans Day

53 Years ago I was flying America’s finest young men into combat in Vietnam. A fellow Army helicopter pilot posted this YouTube tribute to honor those heroes and I would like to share it with you.

luckydave you’re a damn hero! Many thanks to you and all veterans. I love this day, brings out a lot of great stories and gives credit to the many that deserve it.

luckydave, Thanks to you and all of the helicopter pilots for all the lives you saved in Vietnam. You were always there for us no matter what the situation was. I can only imagine what your thoughts were coming into a hot LZ. Those of us that you picked up and dropped off over and over would all say that you were our HEROES. No ones else had our utmost respect like you had. Your bravery was something to behold. Watching the video brought back memories and tears. We left Vietnam but Vietnam never left us.
