Question : What does everyone do for winter in the gas tank department of your boat and why ? Full tank of gas vs running it low ? Thanks

Mine will likely be pretty full when Winter hits. The theory on full is that it leaves much less room for condensation to occur.

full to prevent condensation ,non oxy only year round , stabil for last tank ,
No issues in 20 plus years for this boat so if it aint broke don’t fix it !

Years ago I used to run my gas tank low because that’s how my dad used to do. Then I found out that was wrong so I started filling it at the end of the season.

I usually put stabilizer in each year as well.

No fuel or carb issues in the past 13 years. Now I don’t even bother with either method.

Filling the gas tank is primarily for large boats with 100 gallon gas tanks that can create large amounts of condensation.

My new theory is to leave it where it is and don’t bother. Filling it only puts old gas in your tank come spring.
