Hey everyone, haven’t been on IDO in a while but I’m coming back strong!

Planning on buying a little bigger shack and a heater this year, and I’m also going to be taking quite a few people out who haven’t fished and won’t really be interested in jigging or moving around necessarily. I’m going to be setting up tip ups on lakes with tons of northerns, so there should be a lot of action but it would be nice to have something available to do during the downtime between flags. So, after that long intro, any games anyone could suggest for in the shack? It’s a pop up shelter, by the way.

    Thanks guys, acafisherman19

I’ve always been a fan of ‘the pout slap’.

    Catch pout
Slap nearby unaware person with pouts’ tail across face. Enjoy

My favorite is solitaire, wearing chopper mittens. Unless there’s female companionship…… redface

My favorite game this winter is going to be sitting in my garage and pretending that my fish house is out on the lake.

THAT sounds awesome!! mrgreen All of these are great ideas, but you can’t go wrong with cribbage. I don’t play enough cribbage.

Euchre is a regular staple for our trips. We usually have a tv in the sleeper too, so this year I think the old school NES is coming with too!

The game I play most is stare at the flasher until I get googlyeyed. My least favorite game is
“where the **** am I going to poop?!”

Cribbage, Sheepshead/Schafkopf or as G said tackle tip up is fun as long as no one gets hurt. If they do just add more beer.

If you don’t have holes in the house, something like farkle would work. Just need 6 dice, a pad of paper and pen.
6-5-4 if you have a couple people willing to toss in some $s
Otherwise cribbage or poker is always good.
Depending on the table you could play quarters or chandeliers…that way you have a game to play AND you get drunk…..which could easily lead to tackle tip ups and pout slaps. Other hazards of these last games could be minnow eating and attempting to force feed your fishing partner a frozen fish. whistling whistling

I like to get into a drinking contest with eelpoutguy and see who can have the most empty Coronas at the end of the day. Otherwise, I just like reading the walls of the ice shacks up on LOW. Adrian’s has some of the best pictures and memos on their walls. Stay away from the one that is cursed!!!!!

Sheephead for sure! Easy game and rounds are short enough so if you get a bite you can get it while having some fun and knocking back a few cold ones

Soon to come, the mud puppy dance.

Jason was playing with one in the boat tonight like it was his pet.

Actually it’s sheepshead or schafkopf not sheephead.

Yes it is one of the best card games ever.

Technically it is called barrelhead, wrong translation from schafkopf, add an f and it is sheep, so technically you are wrong, but thanks for trying to correct me.
