Looks like we are going into a dry stretch with some warmer temps. Time to put the decoys to the side and think of getting the boat wet again.
I’ve heard of the typical deep water bite going, but anyone night trolling? Shallow, deep?
I bet Minnewaska is heating up for “eyes” on the Starbuck end just of the reeds around sundown. That’s always been a productive trip in the fall. Also saw a good post re: Mille Lacs pigs finally showing up last weekend.

CDN, I was doing well a couple weeks ago trolling at night for bigger walleye, but Saturday I had nothing over 20″. The numbers were decent, but I was hoping for a couple hogs.

Typically, October is best and once November rolls around and the water temps are below 40, the nightbite hasn’t been very good at all…for me at least. Just curious if I’m the only one.
