Stayed with Steve at Bear Paw Guids Friday and Saturday. As Cookie said in another post, not much to report of for a night bite, even morning for us was pretty slow. We did have a great time with the afternoon bite. We managed to take home a limit of nice 15-17 inch walleyes, and had a few more for a meal for our group of four. We had the most action from about noon to 4:30-5:00, as soon as the sun went down, it seemed as though the bite turned off for us.

Sounds like a nice trip Joe. My group is heading up tomorrow and staying until friday. Was there any certain baits or style of fishing that worked the best for you?? I also was wondering what kind of minnows they use up there. thanks for the help.

For us it seemed that shiners outperformed fatheads. Most of our fish were caught using the pink or white glow teardrop shaped lures.
